Den moderne industrialiserede verden er
karakteriseret af arbejde. Det er arbejdet der kraftigt er medvirkende til,
hvordan vi definerer vores identitet. Her er der er specielt to grupper,
der skiller sig ud i moderne arbejdsliv. Den arbejdsløse og
arbejdsnarkomanen. Fælles for dem er, at de begge er fænomener af den
industrialiserede verden, der begge oplever stress og depressioner.
Arbejdsnarkomanen skal endvidere leve med risikoen for at blive fyret fra
sit arbejde.
Men ikke desto mindre mener de, der arbejder, og også de, der arbejder
meget, at det er meningsfuldt at arbejde, at det er en nøgle til glæde og
at der en stor tilfredsstillelse ved at arbejde.
Det er nogle af de emner som ”worklifekonferencen” tog op, der blev afholdt
den 12. og 13. juni 2006.
