Project
In forthcoming years, there will be an increasing need for increased knowledge about effective initiatives for maintaining and improving work ability through a longer working life. Especially groups of employees with lower educational levels and physically demanding work are at increased risk of physical health impairments, long term sickness absence and early retirement from the labour market. The programme will objectively uncover the physical work demands of high risk occupational groups and prospectively relate the exposures to work ability, and investigate effective interventions for improving work ability among workers in high risk occupational groups.
Qualifications
The candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in occupational environmental health. Candidates with documented hands on experience with epidemiological studies and randomized controlled trials involving occupational risk prevention or health promotion will be preferred. Knowledge with topics like work ability, musculoskeletal disorders and physical work demands is an advantage.
