Introduction
The present homepage presents activities in a Nordic Network on
Physiological measures in relation to job stress in the Nordic Countries.
The basis of the Nordic Network is an offspring of a previous project
entitled 'A model for co-ordination of data from measurements of
physiological effects of occupational stressors', funded by the Nordic
Council of Ministers.
The purpose of the project was:
-
To improve the comparability of methods by co-ordinate Nordic data on
measurement of physiological effects of occupational stressors (e.g.
discussion of sampling protocols, sampling time, storage of samples
etc.).
-
To establish a laboratory comparison between the institutions
participating in the Nordic Network.
-
To establish a model database for measurement of physiological effects
(salivary cortisol was chosen as a start component).
-
The joint action for co-ordination of data may be useful for evaluation
of the usefulness of hormones as a measure for physiological effects of
occupational stressors across countries.
