The NRCWE seeks cooperation with top researchers
and research groups nationally and internationally. It often takes place
informally and on an ad hoc basis, but in recent years the following more
formal cooperation structures have developed.
PEROSH
NRCWE plays an active role in PEROSH – Partnership for European Research in
Occupational Safety and Health. PEROSH is a cooperation of 13 Occupational
Safety and Health institutes in 12 Member states aiming to strengthen
European research in occupational safety and health:
-
Belgium, Prevent
-
Czech Republic, Occupational Safety Research Institute (VÚBP, v.v.i.)
-
Denmark, The National Research Centre for the Working Environment
(NRCWE)
-
Finland, Työterveyslaitos / Finnish Institute of Occupational Health
(FIOH)
-
France, Institut National de Recherche et de Sécurité (INRS)
-
Germany, Berufsgenossenschaftliches Institut für Arbeitsschutz (BGIA)
-
Germany, Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Arbeitsmedizin (BAuA) /
Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (FIOSH)
-
Italy, Instituto Superiore per la Prevenzione e la Sicurezza del Lavoro
(ISPESL)
-
Netherlands, TNO
-
Norway, The National Institute of Occupational Health
-
Poland, Centralny Instytut Ochrony Pracy - Panstwowy Instytut Badawczy
(CIOP-PIB)
-
Spain, Instituto Nacional de Seguridad e Higiene en el Trabajo (INSHT)
-
United Kingdom, Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL)
The members aim to cooperate and coordinate their research and development
efforts for healthier, longer and more productive working lives.
Furthermore they envisage to cooperate with the EU and the national
authorities of Europe in order to support EU and national policy
development and enforcement.
The objectives should be achieved through different activities: pooling of
resources and sharing of knowledge across institutions and countries,
cooperation in and development of joint research and development (R&D)
projects as well as cooperation with external research centres and
OSH-related institutions and networks.
The Director General of the NRCWE serves his second term as chairman of
PEROSH (2007-2010). In 2009 PEROSH established a liaison office in Brussels
in order to have a contact point for external partners and a unit for
coordination of joint research projects and other initiatives. PEROSH can
be contacted via www.perosh.eu.
NEW OSH ERA
The NRCWE represents the Danish Ministry of Employment in the EU financed
NEW OSH ERA which aims to create cooperation between OSH funding
institutions in the member countries. The NEW OSH ERA consortium includes
18 leading public agencies, ministries and research organisations. The
Finnish Institute of Occupational Health coordinates the consortium and the
European Agency for Safety and Health at Work plays a full part in the
project.
Baltic Sea
Network
The NRCWE is part of the Baltic Sea Network on Occupational Health and
Safety, which is a regional network of occupational health and safety
institutions in ten countries around the Baltic Sea.
Other organisations
The NRCWE takes part in a number of international expert groups, such as
-
SCOEL (Scientific Committee on Occupational Exposure Limits) of the
European Union
-
the Nordic Expert Group for occupational exposure limits (NEG)
-
the OECD Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials (WPMN).
