The program conform1e.exe is freeware and can be downloaded in the usual way. The program is written in Delphi 4Ò and requires Windows 95Ò or later. A monitor with a resolution of 800 ´ 640 is recommended.

The file manual.doc contains the manual for running the program.

The file formulas.doc contains information of the formulas used in the calculations.

The program calculates the probability of declaring conformity for an entity with specified requirements. The following four cases are covered by the program:

RPV denotes Region of permissible values while RNV denotes Region of non-permissible values. The specification limits are denoted LV, LVL, LVU, LV1 and LV2, respectively.

The calculations are performed according to the guidelines given in ISO/DIS 10576-1; Draft International Standard. (1999). Statistical methods — Guidelines for the evaluation of conformity with specified requirements. Part 1: General principles. Genéva: International Standardization Organization. This standard is expected to be published as a Final Draft International Standard early in 2002. A theoretical exposition of the concept conformity testing can be found in Holst E, Thyregod P, Wilrich P. (2001): On conformity testing and the use of two-stage procedures. Int. Statistical Review, Vol 69 (3).
